4 Challenges Today!

Forever Friends- Lazy Days of Summer
Lili of the Valley- So Charming
Saturday Challenge - Fancy Corners
Allsorts Challenge - English Country Garden
This card covers all 4 of the above challenges. I think of lovely blossoms in a garden when I think of Summer. So this is what the Lazy days and the English Country garden are represented by. The Charm is a wee heart attached to the image ant I have used peel offs for the corners.
  • 5 x 5 Card
  • Forever Friends Image
  • DCWV Papers
  • Charm and peel offs from stash.

Well my Boys are off to Granny and Grandads tonight for a sleep over. I am looking forward to a relaxing evening. I don't know how I made a lovely dovey card for these challenges as not feeling very lovey dovey at the mo. Sure that over time things will get easier but just now its very hard.

Anyway on with the day, have a great weekend whatever you are up to.

2 ATC's for 3 Challenges.

Colour Create - Rainbow
Lili of the Valley - Summer Fun
Yeah I inked her up again. I am so in lurve with my Gorjuss Girls!
Think you can see where you get the rainbow colours from and sitting on a sunny beach is so much fun in the summer listening to the waves. I love to go to Elliot which is a couple of minutes away from my house and just sit and watch the sea. So relaxing and refreshing.
This is for the Diva Stamper Challenge. I didn't use a stamp this time but have used a Tim Holtz Distressing Inkpad so hope that counts. (Sorry)
Right off to get on with the morning. I have a woman called Moira coming to the house to talk about my agoraphobia this morning and she will be taking me out in weeks to come to help get over it. (Mmmm at the minute that doesn't sound like much fun! Going to places which make me panic. Oh Great! Its called therapy but I have another name Torture!LOL)
Have a great Tuesday. May be back with another card later

Lili Of The Valley Thursday Challenge.

Sketch By Jo.

I have followed the sketch over on Lili of the Valley. I was going to give this card to our Niece for her birthday next Sunday but now I have made it I don't think its the one for her. Sometimes you just know when something is not right for that person so back to the drawing board!

Lili Of The Valley Thursday Challenge.

Over on Lili of the Valley the theme is Easter . I had to make a card for my Mums Pen Friend in America. She and Debbie have been pen pals for about 45 years. They always send cards for special occasions and now the occasional email! Debbie is quite religious so I thought this would be perfect for her.

Sorry that it doesn't include any Lili of the Valley Products. Will get back to them next time. This challenge is running for 2 weeks and they are looking for a Guest Designer so might just apply for it.

  • DL Card
  • Gloss Card which I have coloured with Kaleidoscope inkpads and brayer
  • See-D Stamps (Easter)
  • Clear Embossing power and black ink pad.
  • Card from stash.

Off to watch T.V tonight. Have a good one,

Busy Afternoon making cards.

Gosh don't know about where you are but it is very windy here in Arbroath today. Its a shame as Jake wanted to go out on his bike but couldn't due to the high winds. I have made 2 cards and an ATC for some challenges so here we go with them.

This is for Tilda and Friends where the challenge was to make an ATC "One for the Boys" Thought Edwin looked like he might like to play on the beach so here he is with his ball.

This one is for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge where it is Have your Cake and Eat it. Well you can't have a birthday without a cake and wee Candyfloss is holding a really yummy looking one.

This card is done using the sketch from Sketch Saturday and can also be entered into the Lili of the Valley Challenge which is Mothers Day. I didn't use any LOTV stuff on it. Sorry :-((
This is for my Mum to give to Granny for her Mothers Day next week. Gosh time is flying and I really must get mine done too.
Well off to do some housework now. Just feel like I am going round in circles again today. Grrr I have another card to make for my Mum but it is a Sympathy one and I am struggling with it. Sometimes they are so hard to make. Think it is cause I was out at Granny's this morning and am thinking about my Grandad a lot now. Tom said he would be cold in the garden and now I just keep thinking of him. (His ashes are in the garden as it was his pride and joy). It is getting easier as the time goes by but we all still miss him loads. I have stopped reading about poor Jade Goody as it is bringing things back to me about his last few days. Gosh it is 7 months ago but feels like yesterday at times.
Anyway sorry for the moan.
Have a lovely Saturday whatever you are up too.

Lili of the Valley meets Fab.

The theme over on Lili of the Valley this week is Bright and Beautiful.
I have combined it with Fabs Christmas Card Challenge which is Anything goes.
I have to say that my Christmas Card Mojo has vanished. I thought it would be easy to make a christmas card a week but have hardly done any in February. Its so difficult when the sun is shining and the wee bulbs are poking their heads out of the earth to think of Christmas. Spring is sprung as my Dad says.
Also want to say Happy Birthday To Fab who's birthday is today.
  • Standard Card in Green
  • Brenda Pinnick Papers
  • Lilis Christmas Fairy
  • Anna Griffin Stamp
  • Flower and Brad HOTP
  • Glitter Glue.

Well off to make bacon rolls for lunch. Jake is coming home today and thought I would make this as he was doing a Cross Country Run at school this morning. Good Luck to him. Hope he doesn't have my genes as it would be a walk!!!LOL Tom is watching a Peter Davison Doctor Who so I can get on with the housework. Oh Lucky me!!!

Lili Of The Valley Thursday Challenge.

It was a Recipe over on Lili Of The Valley this week. 3 Brads, 2 Papers and 1 Flower.
I thought I would have the flower as my main image on the card. This is an acceptance to Alan's cousin Allys Wedding. He gets married at the end of March to a Russian Girl called Veronika.
I haven't used any Lil Of the Valley products this week (sorry). It is quite plain but I feel that with these tall cards you can't put too much on them as it looks too busy.
  • Tall Card
  • 1 Chipboard Flower with gem attached.
  • 2 Free Papers from magazine
  • 3 Sugar coated Brads

Right now no more cards until I clean and tidy the craft desk. I now have a surface area of about 10cm to work on so really needs done.

Lili Of The Valley Thursday Challenge.

It was a sketch this week by Jo on the Lili of the Valley Challenge, I love these wee flowers I got from www.sharonduncan.co.uk and just had to use them in the card. I have glittered up the Fairy's wings again as every good fairy needs a bit of sparkle!!!
  • Standard Pink Card
  • Lili's Fairy
  • Blue HOTP Paper
  • HOTP Stamp
  • Adirondack Denim Blue ink
  • Flora Doodle Flowers
  • Peel offs
  • Glitter

Well off to watch T.V with Tom. Tai has been at the Vets again this morning and got another antibiotic injection and also pills to take for 5 days. So he will be really sorted out soon. He is now back eating and he went out for a poo this morning, thank goodness as I was dreading cleaning one up from the litter. Yuck!!!!

Lili Of The Valley Thursday Challenge.

The challenge was to create a Men's Card over on the Lili of the Valley Challenge this week.
I didn't know what to make and then thought of Jake with his tummy upset and the wee pussy cat so there was born my Take it Easy Mans card. Also Jess the cat loves to cuddle into whoever is ill. Tai my boy cat just cuddles all the time but she seems to sense folk needing extra cuddles so goes to whoever is needing them.
I coloured the blanket in with my prussian blue pro marker so it wasn't lilac anymore. I used a card which I got a long time ago on QVC which folds in 3. The inside says Get Well soon but I couldn't get a good image with it.
  • Blue/Gingham card from QVC
  • Moggi from Lili of The Valley
  • Peel Offs from stash

Lili Of The Valley Thursday Challenge.

It was a sketch by Jo this week over on the Lili of the Valley Challenge. I have slightly modified it into a square card. I know its 11 months till Christmas but a card a week is what I said and so here is this weeks Christmas card!!! I was going to glitter the Reindeer's noses but thought it might be overkill as felt the card was busy enough. This is what I will be saying at the start of next week as it is meant to snow. Hurray:-))))
  • 5.5x 5.5 Card
  • Lili of the Valley Paper and Reindeer Embellishments
  • Peel Offs From Stash
  • Silver Card

Well I was going to wash the windows this afternoon but it is freezing outside and the rain is starting to come on. What a shame. Hee hee. Have a great afternoon

Lili Of The Valley Thursday Challenge.

Valentines is the Challenge over on The Lili of the Valley Challenge this week. I have made a pretty valentines card using one of Lilis Fairies. She looks so coy!!!I cut out the hearts using a Fiskars template and then made them like they had been stitched using my black marvy pen. The Sweethearts Stamp comes from a stamp which has 12 sentiments on it. It is from Memories in the Making. It took ages to get the stamp right so now have loads of scrap pieces of card. LOL!!!!

  • 5x5 Card Stock
  • Deep and Light Pink Card
  • Lili of the Valley Fairy
  • Memories in the Making Stamp

Off to help Tom now as he is off nursery not well and he wants to make some cards too.

Lili Of The Valley Thursday Challenge.

I was tidying up my crafty desk when I suddenly remembered I hadn't done the Lili of the Valley Challenge this week. So my tidying had to stop to make a card. I love the Lili of the Valley stuff so this was a joy to do. It is Anything Goes this week and I did say I would do a Chrimbo Card a week so here is Moss the Christmas Fairy looking very sparkly and pretty.
The card is quite simple but I think it is stunning with the holographic glitter on it. The actual card is from DCWV. I got it for Christmas in my huge DCVW stash which my MIL gave me via Artymiss.
  • DCVW 6x6 Embossed Card
  • Moss Lili of the Valley Die Cut Fairy
  • Powderz Glitter in Prism Silver.
  • Quickie Glue Pen
  • 3D Foam Pads
  • Peel Off from Stash.

Well better get back to the tidying up. Even more now with all the glitter on my desk.

Lili Of The Valley Thursday Challenge.

On the Lili of the Valley Challenge this week it is a New Year Card you had to make.
I have used the little Moggie with champagne to celebrate the new year.
I used a gold card and peel off green velum for the insert which I had cut 2cm off the card for. I then used peel off stickers for a fun party feel. The sticker on the front says "Here's to another year of dreams coming true." Gosh this is the second New Year Card I have made this year, it is nice to make them as they feel like a celebration card.

Lili Of The Valley Thursday Challenge.

Over on The Lili of the Valley Challenge this week it is a sketch by Donalda. Her work is great and I love to look over on her blog at the creations she has made.
I used one of the Lili's Princesses and also the swirls paper from Lili of the Valley. The decal edge is a Victorian style from a template by fiskars. The snowflake and the peel off are from my stash.
Well I have written 70 Christmas cards now and have about another 80 to go so back to the grindstone. The snow has gone away from Arbroath today. I was hoping it would be deep during the night but only got heavy rain. Love Hazel xox

Lili Of The Valley Thursday Challenge.

Wow this is a great challenge over at Lili of the Valley this week, It was Sprinkle and Sparkle.
Funny though how if you can put as much glitter onto something as you want you just can't.
I have used a Lili's Unicorn which I used Glitter Glue on the mane and tail to sparkle her up. I then mounted her after about 3 hours drying time!!! LOL onto pink angel hair as it is sparkly. I then I used glitter card from a kit I got years ago for the other side of the card, which I then put peel offs onto for the sentiment. Finished it off with some K & Company gems along the bottom.
Didn't put much more onto it as think it would have crowded it. Hope you like it.
Away to make some homemade vegetable soup for lunch as its quite cold here today. The school is off as it it in-service training for the teachers so entertaining the boys. Jake is much better and Tom has drops for his sore eye. He has a stye in it. It looks very sore but Tom being Tom he is not complaining. Take care all,
Hazel xox
