3 in 1 Card.

RAINBOW LADY -4 X 4 EYES
SECRET CRAFTER SATURDAY CHALLENGE - GLITTER
COLOUR CREATE - SKY BLUE, TAN AND ECRU

Hi All, hope you are well on the lovely sunny Sunday afternoon. I am taking a break from putting the shopping away and thought I would post this card on for you to see. Thanks for the kind wishes about my ankle. Still a bit achy but almost better!!!

Rainbow Lady wanted us to do a 4 x 4 card with eyes on it. The pretty bits on the outside of a peacocks feathers are sometimes called its eyes.

I popped glitter on him too, and had a glitter border.

Finally the colours of the Colour Create Challenge this week matched really well with my card., the blue is slightly brighter than the sky here hope that's OK.

I have made him using the Quirky Creations CD from Sharon Duncan.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge Blog.

FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS!

This was Cynthia's Challenge this week over on The Rainbow Lady's Challenge Blog.

I just had to use Cherry again hanging off the washing line as its so sweet. I have tried to have my own wee challenge of just using black white and pinks as my four legged friend is a black and white furry purry called Jess, being a girl cat I thought of the pink too!

  • Pink Standard Card
  • Cherry Cat Stamp by Lindsay Mason
  • Rest of stuff from stash

Well I don't know what its been like with you but the weather here has been very strange today. It was lovely when I got up but by 11 it was heavy rain, then at about 3 it brightened up again and now is glorious!

Hope you all have a great May Bank Holiday Weekend.

Rainbow Ladys Challenge Blog Card

Over on Rainbow Lady Cynthia's Challenge this week the theme is Transport.
Jake wanted a card for his friend Shaun who is 12 today. So this is what I came up with. Jake says its cool.
  • Standard Card
  • Mirelle Decoupage Sheet
  • Checkered card and peel off from stash

It took me all day to make this card and the other one I am putting on tonight. I had a bit of an incident with the chair I sit on while crafting. When I sat on it it broke. It was like slow motion as I fell to the ground. Luckily no-one else was in to hear the scream and to laugh at me getting back up. Ooops!! Don't know if the chair was rubbish or I might need to diet. Too many Easter eggs!

3 Challenges in 1 Card.

I don't like combining challenges but this just sort of happened when I was making my card for Colour Create.
Theme there this week is Duck Egg Blue and Rose.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge this week is To have a Dangler from your Card. So here is my wee Dragonfly.

Finally over on ABC the challenge was I for Inside and you had to decorate the inside of the card.

It just happened as I made the card and it came together really nicely.
Off for some lunch now then hope to get another couple made before the kids come home from their holiday, as then I will have loads of washing to do!!!

It is a decoupage card so has 5 layers. I took another couple of pics of it from an angle but they didn't turn out right.
Will be back on later as have an award I have to pop o but have been very busy.

Rainbow Lady and Cupcakes rolled into 1.

I have rolled 2 challenges into 1 card here as time is short. Grrrr.
The Rainbow Lady's Challenge this week is birthdays and over on The Cupcake Challenge it is a card with a Monster.
This is our nephews birthday card, Iain will be 9 on Saturday. His big brother Gavin will be 16 on Saturday too. So have another card to make for him. Much harder to make one for a 16 year old though!
I have used the most scary Monsters in the universe. The Daleks. We have a life size Dalek but he lives at the local theatre as he is too big for the house. He is affectionately called Dusty!!! See 2 posts down for why we have him. LOL
  • Card made using own template
  • Dalek Decoupage from a Blogging Buddy. (Thanks)
  • Twinkling H2Os
  • Peel Offs.
  • Foam Pads

Well off to watch TV now. I am really tired tonight as was at the Worry Woman this morning and talking about anxiety things makes me so tired. Think this will help me loads though!

Rainbow Ladys Challenge Blog Card

Over on Cynthias Challenge this week it is an Alphabet Challenge with the letter A being it.
Here is my Acceptance card which my Granny asked for, for a Wedding Reception at the end of April.
I don't know if I like it but when I took it out to Gran this morning she seemed to. She liked an ATC I had done and wanted the same paper. So I did it. I have written the Acceptance too but think it looks rubbish. Don't know. Sometimes I just loose the mojo a bit. Think it is too much clutter round the desk.
Right off to have some lunch then on with the cards as Mum ordered 2 as well so must do them. May incorporate them into a challenge or 2.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge.

OK OK, I was going to make a Christmas card for Fabs challenge but got all the stuff out then lost the Christmas mojo. Will do it tomorrow. I made the card for the Rainbow Lady's Challenge instead, and charged up the cameras battery!!!
So Cynthia set us a Recipe this week, Here it is ;
RECIPE for this week:
Take one white card.
One rubber stamp.
A hand made flower or two.
Some ribbon.
A couple of corner peel offs or peel off strips
oh, I nearly forgot - and the colour scheme of RED, BLUE AND SILVER
So here is my finished result. Hope you like it.
  • A5 White Card
  • Magnolia Stamp (coloured with watercolour pencils,Sakura Pens and Adirondack ink)
  • HOTP Paper in blue which I distressed with Adirondack ink in denim.
  • Peel offs, ribbon, flower and brad from stash.

Right no more cards today, I seem to have spent most of the day on the computer. Off to make turkey casserole for the tea. Chips are still shouting to me but haven't had any. Wish I could have a take away but will feel the benefit of this after lent is over. (I hope!!!)

Hope you like it. I am still resting the neck and today it seems a bit better so fingers crossed. I will get back to blog hopping more in the next couple of days!
Well Angie has now moved( My neighbour who is going to Oz) It was a bit of a tearful goodbye this morning as she has lived beside me for 7 years. Sure they will get on well and I wish them all the very best for their big adventure!

Rainbow Lady's Thursday Challenge.

"Stopping By The Woods On A Snowy Evening."
Over on the Rainbow Lady's Challenge this week the Challenge was set by Linnie at Helping Hands. The challenge was to create a card with a scene and name it. This is mine. I have named it after my fav poem by Robert Frost.
Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
  • DL Card
  • 3D Decoupage Scene
  • Perfect Pearls
  • Ribbon From stash

You cant really see the perfect pearls which I used on the card to give it a slight shimmer. The pictures are not too good today, I think it is because of the light today. It is dull and dreich here in Arbroath and no matter where I photographed the card it still didn't look right so my apologies.

Well off to make some spiced pea soup and chilli for tea.

Take Care Hazel xo

Rainbow Lady's Thursday Challenge.

It was a Rainbow Monotone Challenge over on Cynthia's Challenge blog this week, so you had to choose a colour of the rainbow and could only use shades of it and black if you were stamping.
I have made an ATC. Since this is my first rainbow colour challenge with Cynthia I have decided on red. She has done 6 already.
  • ATC
  • HOTP Stamps
  • Red Gems
  • Red Ribbon from stash
  • Brilliance Ink in Black

Brain is aching now from all the tidying up I have done today. Hurray I can see the bottom of the craft desk in my bedroom. Shame my bed is now covered in craft stuff!!! Hee hee. I think I need to do a big tidy up but every time I start I then find something to play with or look at.

Rainbow Lady's Thursday Challenge.

Well doesn't the week go by really fast!! Its Thursday again and the 29th. Eek where has January gone!!! I was lucky enough to be the Guest Designer last week on Cynthia's Rainbow Lady Challenge blog. The cards were all lovely. I left comments for all who had done one. Thanks again to Cynthia for letting me loose! They were great even if some were cursing my Theme!!!LOL. This week Cynthia has chosen the theme herself and it is WINDOWS. So the card had to have a window in it. This is the scrap from a peel off I had from ages ago and I thought it would be great for the challenge. The top picture is of Jess one of my Kitty Cats watching me take the picture. I really should be washing the windows instead of making cards when I see it in the background!!!!!!
  • 5.5 x5.5 Card
  • Peel Off Scrap and masking tape
  • Silver Mirri Board
  • Galaxy Marker
  • Ribbon, sentiment, stars and brad from stash.

Well off to have lunch, might just wash these windows this afternoon but the forecast is for rain and snow so might leave it till next week when it is meant to be brighter.

Rainbow Ladys Challenge Blog Guest Designer.

WOW I am so excited as Cynthia over at The Rainbow Lady's Challenge Blog has asked me to be guest designer. So here are my cards and ATC's for it. If you want to join in the fun here is the blog http://rainbowladyschallengeblog.blogspot.com/

The theme is Peel Offs.

Here is how I have made my card and ATC's. The card is a mosaic peel off which I coloured in with my Derwent Watercolour pencils and then washed with my koi waterbrush. I mounted it onto blue card them gold mirri card. I put it onto an A6 card which is light green

The ATC's are both peel offs too. I just put the birthday peel offs onto the card and then again coloured it in with my watercolour pencils. The Leaves one is using peel offs by Francoise Read. They are mounted onto mulberry paper then cut out. I put some other peel offs on for effect. Hope you like them. Please go over to Rainbow Lady Cynthia's Blog and join in the fun. I will look at all your cards.
