2 Challenges in 1 card.

I had chosen my stamped image for the Papertake Weekly Challenge last night and then when I looked at the Spoonful of Sugar Challenge this morning they tied in nicely so I have combined them. It was another brilliant sketch by Dawny P over on the Papertake Weekly. I love using her sketches so this was a joy.
  • 5 x 5 Card
  • Penny Black Easter Stamp coloured with Aqua Promarkers
  • Brenda Pinnick Papers
  • Peel Off and gems from stash.

I used my aqua promarkers again as thought I was using the Sakura pens all the time so thought I would have a wee change!LOL

Off now to make the DT card for Daisy and Dandelion as Tom is at his Grans till mid afternoon and Jake is at school dinners. Hurray peace.

Have a great Tuesday all,

Lili of the Valley meets Fab.

The theme over on Lili of the Valley this week is Bright and Beautiful.
I have combined it with Fabs Christmas Card Challenge which is Anything goes.
I have to say that my Christmas Card Mojo has vanished. I thought it would be easy to make a christmas card a week but have hardly done any in February. Its so difficult when the sun is shining and the wee bulbs are poking their heads out of the earth to think of Christmas. Spring is sprung as my Dad says.
Also want to say Happy Birthday To Fab who's birthday is today.
  • Standard Card in Green
  • Brenda Pinnick Papers
  • Lilis Christmas Fairy
  • Anna Griffin Stamp
  • Flower and Brad HOTP
  • Glitter Glue.

Well off to make bacon rolls for lunch. Jake is coming home today and thought I would make this as he was doing a Cross Country Run at school this morning. Good Luck to him. Hope he doesn't have my genes as it would be a walk!!!LOL Tom is watching a Peter Davison Doctor Who so I can get on with the housework. Oh Lucky me!!!

Busy Day.

Gosh I am so busy today but don't feel like I have done much. Do you ever get the feeling you are just going round in circles???? I have made 2 of the things I had to make and thought I would let you see them as I feel quite proud of them. Hope you like them too.

This one is for my Aunt and Uncle, they always bring the boys a gift so I feel like I should return the favour. I know its not much but its the thought that counts. I used Brenda Pinnick papers to make the card. Had to test one of the sweets and they are lovely. LOL

Then this is for Alan's niece, Emily is quite a girly girl so hope she likes this door hanger. I used my favourite stamp of the moment and coloured it in with my watercolour pencils. I added gems to the centre of the flowers and used stickers I have had for ages to do the name. You can't see it here but I have gone round it with a silver ink pad so the edges are coloured too.

Gosh this is meant to be the shortest day of the year but I feel like it is dragging. Can't go out with the boys as we might get blown away as the wind is very strong today. It is a shame as it is such a sunny day it would have been good to go down to the beach.

Friday Sketchers.

Hello, Yes I am still here!!! Have just made a couple of cards for some challenges. I am busy scuttering about as I don't feel like I am getting anywhere fast with the tidying up. So many cards and bits and bobs to tidy up. Argh.
Anyway onto the card. The sketch this week over on The Friday Sketchers was by Jacqueline from the Netherlands. I used a 5x5 card and have used Brenda Pinnack papers and chipboard embellishments for the image. The Good Luck is a Dawn Bibby peel off. The 7 gems are from my stash. I hope you like it, I'm loving the colours as they are nice and fresh for spring. Have a look on the Friday Sketchers Blog to see the lovely design team cards.
Well better post the other card then onto more organisation of the dreaded C word.

Forever Friends Challenge.

Over on the Forever Friends Blog the challenge is "A Christmas Carol" .
"Deck the halls with boughs of holly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Tis the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la. "
I have used a FF bear and Brenda Pinnick Frame. The wording is from Brenda Pinnick too. I then used some glitter to make it festive. I'll be singing this all night now.

Papertake Weekly Challenge.

OK another challenge card. This time Papertake Weekly. It is a sketch by Dawny. I really liked this sketch, think I will use it again.
I have made this card for my friend who had a baby in the summer. I thought it would be nice to get a special 1st Christmas with the wee man card. He is called Sean and is so cute.
All the paper and embellishments apart from the peel offs are Brenda Pinnick Designs. The light one on the top was a card but I cut it up and it was then about the right shape for the challenge.
I mounted up the circle Santa on varying sizes of 3d foam so he is standing out by 4mm and his next circle down is 2mm them matted right onto the card for the outer one.
Off to make the tea now, Today has just flown by.

Friday Sketchers.

Here is my card for the Friday Sketchers Challenge.
I really enjoyed making this card. I love the colours. I have used a Brenda Pinnick kit for the paper and embellishment. I think the ribbon comes from the same kit but not sure? I used glitter glue on the ribbon to make it more festive and also used a wee bit more on Rudolph's nose to make is sparkly and Rosy red.
Well its cold here today and the rain is not taking its time to come down at times so just staying in. The hairdresser is coming at 3pm to sort out our mops!!!! Tom usually has a no 3 but its a bit cold for that so just a tidy up will do him. Jake is still growing his, it is lovely and shiny, typical great hair for a male. I need to dye mine but ? what color cause salt and pepper through brown is a bit ageing. Decisions decisions. Have a great afternoon all,

Papertake Weekly Challenge.

This is The Papertake Weekly Challenge which is a sketch by Dawny P. It is a lovely sketch to work with. I have rounded the corners slightly but that is the only change I have made.
I used Brenda Pinnick paper which comes from a scrapbooking kit I have. I used an ATC for the image which is a peel off sticker. I coloured the cake in with Galaxy markers and used Stickles Icicle for the icing. On the 2 squares at the sides I used a pretty flower gem to brighten them up. Finally I used a Happy Birthday peel off from my stash for the text.
I love these colours and the flower paper is great. I have a 12x12 piece left but it is one of these ones which I won't use as I just like to look at it. You know what I mean!!!! LOL
