I was blog hopping and found the Sketch and Stash blog where you have a sketch and have to use a new or neglected item. Well this is my fabby new stamp. I love Mabel Lucie Attwell stuff so when the Artistic Stamper got the rights to the images I was ordering 1 straight away!

WOW I got to be in the Top 5 over on Cupcake Challenge for this week too so I am so chuffed as life is a bit pants just now so this really cheered me up.

So I have been a busy bunny this am with bits and pieces. Made this card in a spare wee while although have done some housework too and bough 2 huge Pumpkins for the boys to decorate and me make some soup with!!! I've not entered the Cupcake Challenge for ages and have never entered the Penny Black one before so thought I would combine this card to fit all 4.

So off I go now to get the rest of Saturday sorted out. I am quite worried about my Gran today. She got a scratch on her leg last week from one of my Uncles Dogs and it is still very sore . Today her leg is really swollen and she can hardly weight bear on it. Mum went out this am and waited for 2 hours for NHS 24 to get back in touch with them as she phoned them as soon as she arrived. But they are really busy today. Poor Granny, she has been on antibiotics for 3 days but it seems so much worse.

Anyway off to see if there has been any news.

Cupcake Challenge meets with Funky Fairys.

Sorry I have cheated and combined 2 challenges. I don't seem to have enough hours in the day just now. I thought that once the boys were back to school and nursery It would get better but no I just seem to be chasing my tail all the time.

I also have to make a Silver Wedding Card and a couple of ATCs to swap at the weekend when I go to meet Lindsay Mason, So I think I am in for a busy couple of Days!!!

The Rainbow Lady's Challenge this week is birthdays and over on The Cupcake Challenge it is a card with a Monster.
This is our nephews birthday card, Iain will be 9 on Saturday. His big brother Gavin will be 16 on Saturday too. So have another card to make for him. Much harder to make one for a 16 year old though!
I have used the most scary Monsters in the universe. The Daleks. We have a life size Dalek but he lives at the local theatre as he is too big for the house. He is affectionately called Dusty!!! See 2 posts down for why we have him. LOL

I have combined the Sketch from Sketch Saturday and the Challenge from Cupcake which is a photo which is to inspire you. It had yellow flowers on a table on it so I thought I would use this stunning picture from my Kanban Concept card kit.

Cupcake Craft Challenge.

It is a sketch over on the Cupcake Challenge this week. I again haven't taken part in it for weeks due to no time. Where does it all go????
Well I needed a card for Steve and Susan so though this sketch would be great for a new baby card.

Cupcake Craft Challenge.

Over on The Cupcake Craft Challenge you had to create a scene this week. So here is my Summer ATC. I seem to be making loads of ATC's just now rather than cards.This card is nice and summery compared to the weather most of the UK is getting so thought it might brighten up your days!!!. Snow seems to miss me in Arbroath all the time though. It is very cold today though.

This card covers a multitude of challenges. So here goes. I am short of time with being ill and now Jake not feeling well.
1. Papertake Weekly, the challenge this week was the above sketch by Dawny

2. A Spoonful of Sugar- Love is in the Air. We would like you to create a card or a gift for someone special. (My Mum in Law)

3. Daring Cardmakers - Give it some Heart ( Heart shaped Balloon)

4. Cupcake Craft Challenge - A Recipe for a Card.To Make things clearer - That is 3 different pieces of cardstock
2 embellishments (either the same or different)
And 1 piece of ribbon

and 5 Stamp Something - Create a project about recipes. It can be a favorite food recipe, a recipe for a perfect day, or whatever the word "recipe" brings to mind. (Birthday Cake)

So this is the Birthday card from Jake and Tom to my MIL. Its her birthday in a fortnight.

The recipe part of it is Margaret My MIL always makes a cake for everyone's birthday. It is a Victoria sponge coated with butter icing with chocolate buttons and maltesers on it. They are so yummy and gone very quickly.

2 Challenges in 1 Card.

It was a sketch over on The Cupcake Challenge this week. On ABC it was X for X. You had to have a X on your card somewhere.

I struggled with this sketch although it has turned out OK. Its for Alan's Uncle Tom who will be 79 on Friday so better get it posted!!! He lives just outside Birmingham.

Cupcake Craft Challenge.

It was a sketch this week over on the Cupcake Challenge so I have made another of my ATC's which I will do swaps with later in the week. Again I used shrink Plastic for embellishments. It was the off cuts from the other stuff I had been doing and I just wanted to see how wee the flowers would be. The stamp is from Elzybells, it has on the bottom of it Made By Hazel but I masked it off. I like the pretty flower.

Cupcake Craft Challenge.

The challenge this week over on the Cupcake Blog is "Glitter". So I have gone to town on this card. I think it looks great, Sorry about the picture quality as it really does not do this card justice. The peel offs came from a Do-Crafts Goody Bag and looks like a hammered silver effect. It is a 3 D one so have used 4mm foam pads. I used a purple opalescent card for its backing so it has a great sheen on it. Then finished it off with glitter glue.

Cupcake Craft Challenge.

Over on the Cupcake Challenge this week you had to make a Cupcake Blog Inspired card.

I have used paper that I got free from a magazine.. The brown paper is HOTP. The image comes from a CD which I got free with a magazine the other day. My printer is rubbish and so the image is not as good as I hoped for. I used beaded glitter for the hundreds and thousands on the cupcake. Mmmm yummy.
