Cute Card Thursday and Friday Sketchers.

I seem to not have enough hours in the day just now. Think it is because the kids are ill and I am running on an almost empty tank. Hurray Tom is sleeping over at his Grans tonight so I will get a full nights sleep and will feel refreshed in the morning. I have been getting an average of 4 hours sleep in the last week with Tom coughing and then before that with the Poor Pussy Cat.
Tonight I have combined these 2 challenges. I love the sketch over on Friday Sketchers and haven't had time to do their challenge for a bit. Its the same with Cute Card Thursday. Their challenge was "Signs of Spring". Well Rabbits and Daffodils are a sign of spring but I haven't seen them like this before. Might need to go to the Opticians if I did. LOL.
  • 6x6 Card
  • Image Penny Black bought on Ebay
  • Derwent Watercolour pencils
  • Papers from stash, patterned one free in magazine
  • HOTP Stamped Sentiment
  • Embellishments free from magazine.

Well off to blog hop now. I really enjoyed making this card as I had no interruptions and just had fun. Think I quite often make really simple cards due to the kids coming and interrupting all the time. Have a lovely Friday nite

Sketch Saturday and Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge.

Happy Valentines Day.
I have combined these 2 challenges this week as I have now got to make a card for Alan at some point in the day so thought I would get this done first. Argh I didn't expect to receive a Valentine card so it was a nice surprise to get it.
The theme on Secret Crafter this week is "Spring has Sprung" and I think of Daffodils straight away when it comes to spring. I love to see them popping their heads out of the ground and coming up and brightening the garden. We have some sprouting already and my snowdrops are in bloom. Its lovely.
  • Standard Light Green Card
  • See -D 's Daffodil Stamp
  • Papermania Bubble Embellishment
  • Paper Double sided from Red Hot Bed
  • Derwent Watercolour Pencils

Well off to chill out now as we are going to one of Alan's friends houses tonight for a karaoke and I get in such a tizzy with going out. We have also been up since 6am with Jake. Bad ADHD day. He is away out on his bike so that should use up some of the energy. Wish I could bottle it and sell it. LOL Have a lovely Valentines Day all,

Cupcake Craft Challenge.

It was a sketch this week over on the Cupcake Challenge so I have made another of my ATC's which I will do swaps with later in the week. Again I used shrink Plastic for embellishments. It was the off cuts from the other stuff I had been doing and I just wanted to see how wee the flowers would be. The stamp is from Elzybells, it has on the bottom of it Made By Hazel but I masked it off. I like the pretty flower.

  • ATC
  • Elzybells Stamp (Personallised)
  • Watercolour Pencils
  • Shrink Plastic
  • Paper From Stash
  • Peel Off
  • Ribbon From Stash

Sketch Saturday Card Challenge.

Over on Sketch Saturday there is an open challenge this week. It was to choose one of the previous sketches, so I chose sketch number 5 from way back in June. I liked the look of it and thought I would give it a go.
I have used my Sarah Kay Stamp and coloured it in with my Derwent watercolour pencils. I used a floral sheet from a Pocket Full of Posies from DCWV as the background. I then used co-ordinations Black magic for the matting and the circles, which I made with my new circle cutter from Fiskars. I aged all the papers with a file and added ribbon and peel offs from my stash to finish it off.
I changed my mind about the card I was going to give to my Mum for her birthday and think I might give her this one now. Well off to play some more with my new stuff.

ABC Challenge.

Over at ABC Challenge this week it is T.
T is for Three's.OK this is slightly different we want you to do everything in three's bar your image. So if you use papers, there must be three different sheets. If you add flowers we want to see 3, if you add anymore it must be in multiples of 3, get the idea.
So I have 3 happy snowmen, which I coloured with my watercolour pencils. I mounted it onto black holographic card then mirri card. The text is from Dawn Bibby and is 3 words. Then the snowdrops and flakes are in sets of 3 too.So think I have met the criteria!!!
