Papertake Weekly Challenge

The challenge over on Papertake Weekly is a sketch by Dawny P. I love working with her sketches and got onto it straight away. Also I was itching to use my new stamp. It is What Me by Lindsay Mason. Look isn't Cherry so sweet. She is making me think of Jess my cat. She is acting like a kitten again now that Tai is away to heaven. She is 10 soon and is acting like a year old beasty. So I recon she has been in a great big huff for the 7 years we had Tai. She used to wee wee where she likes and has used the litter for the last 3 weeks so its a miracle. My house also smells a lot better!!!
The card I have used was embossed with a border round it so I used it for the background by colouring it with my adirondack inks. You can't really see the edge of the card as the picture is faded out. Sorry.
  • Square Card DCWV
  • What Me Cherry Stamp by Lindsay Mason
  • Adirondack inks
  • Ribbon and Peel offs from stash.

Well was going to do some of the Ring Cushion tonight but my eyes don't seem to be as good as they once were. Either that or my energy saver bulbs are rubbish. So will do it during the day as its on 18 count aida!!!

The Secret Crafter Challenge.

This week it is Masking over on the Saturday Challenge. I think I might have gone over the top with it though??? I have used it for the background of my card. The stamp is a Dawn Bibby Acrylic one. Not sure if I like it or not. Might grow on me.
  • 5 x 5 Card
  • Dawn Bibby Acrylic Stamp
  • Thanks You stamp
  • Adirondack Inks in Denim Wild Plum and Lettuce
  • Ribbon and Brad from stash.

Well its a funny old day here. I don't feel like I have done much. Just feel like I am going round in circles. Jake is away out playing (Thank Goodness) as we are going through a bad ADHD patch with him again. I say black he says white. Grrrr. Think teenage hormones might be to blame too as he seems to be growing up very quickly just now. He is just going to be 12 in May but has grown about 4 inched in the last 6 months!!!

Off now to get on with some housework, Enjoy the rest of Saturday,

ABC Challenge.

D is for ....... Distressing
So here is my distressed card. While looking for something this morning I found this lush handmade paper in the bottom of a box. Isn't it yummy.
I can't remember where I got it from. I have distressed it by tearing it once I had wet it and left it for a couple of minutes to soak. Then I used my Adirondack Mushroom ink pad to age it a bit. The Tilda stamp has some of the Adirondack on it to as does the A5 card I used.
  • A5 Card
  • Handmade Paper
  • Adirondack Ink in Mushroom
  • Ribbon and Peel Off from stash.
  • Magnolia Stamp
  • Watercolour Pencils

Well off to go out to the school now to see about Jake moving up to secondary school. As usual I have worried all morning about leaving the house. Gosh what a waste of energy.

I have also made another 1 of my ATC's for my swap so hope to have them all finished tomorrow and I'll let you have a look.

Papertake Weekly Challenge.

Over on Papertake Weekly the challenge was to have a matching set.
I have made a card and gift tag for the Vet Glenn who helped with Tai on Saturday/Sunday.
I thought a cheeky wee cat would be apt for a card for a Vet. LOL. Just need to buy a gift for him now. Either Choccys or wine. I have used the very talented Lindsay Masons Cherry Stamp. Pop over to Personal Impressions Web page to see her latest designs. http://www.personalimpressions.com/
  • Tall Card
  • Lindsay Mason Cherry Stamp
  • Funstamp of Paw
  • Adirondack Pirch Black Inkpad

  • Eyelet from Stash

Wow it is a fab spring day here this morning . Tom is off nursery with the cold and a bogie nose. Yuck. He is busy playing with his Noddy Fuzzy Felts just now.

Have a great day all,

Sketch Saturday/ Part 2 of Forever Friends.

Over On Sketch Saturday the sketch is being sponsored by Emma Lockley. She is an independent Stampin Up demonstrator and has loads on offer for 1 lucky winner.
Also my card on Forever Friends was really basic the other day and I said I would make another one. Their theme was ribbons, so the paper ribbon I have on this card might just count!

  • Forever Friends Papers
  • Paper From Stash
  • Forever Friends Stamp.
  • Adirondack Ink in Mushroom and Wild Plum
  • Embellishments from stash.

I love what happens to Adirondack when you add water to it. It makes such a yummy watercolour. Well off to make my Spiced Pea Soup for tea. Enjoy the rest of the weekend

She was just meant to get a crown out and replaced but Dentist decided it was too much so 45 mins later her tooth was removed. Argh. Makes me feel sick thinking of it. Poor Mum Get well Soon. Papertake Weekly Challenge

The Challenge on Papertake Weekly is Monochrome this week, So I chose pink.
I have used a Penny Black Stampby Margaret /Sherry. I bought this last year for my Mums birthday card as Tilly her cat always goes into the washing.
I used Adirondack in wild plum to stamp and then colour washed some of it. I also used a cut and dry nib for some bits. The ribbon is from my stash and the celebrate stamp if from HOTP. It is windy here today but dry so got washing out, just away to go blog hopping for a bit then on with the housework.

Forever Friends Challenge.

On the Forever Friends Challenge this week you had to make something that wasn't a card. I have puzzled over this for 2 days now then decided to make an ATC with my fabby new stamp I received the other day from The Glitter Pot. I think I need to ask Santa for some templates to make boxes and other fab things. (Gosh the wish list is getting big!)
I have used Adirondack Ink in mushroom for the stamp. I then coloured it with my koi water brush to give it a monotone feel. I love it. Sorry I haven't been more adventurous but ?? what to make.

Stamp Something Challenge.

OK I have done more than being on the computer today, honest!!!! Here is my card fro the Stamp Something Challenge. It is something I hadn't heard of before but sounds really fun.Black Friday Somethings - CHALLENGE
Hi All! It's Friday and we've got a fun new challenge for you this week, one in honor of the traditional Black Friday shopping day here in the States! Each year, on the day after Thanksgiving, the retail shops and stores have crazy specials, sales, early bird deals, and low prices on all your holiday shopping needs. It's a day when people get up at crazy early hours, wait in line forever, pushing and shoving just to get that sale price or one of kind gift for that special someone! It's a fun shopping day, one might feel very victorious at what she can accomplish in a few short hours! So we thought it would be fun to have a "Black Friday Somethings" challenge! All you need to do is make a project using the color black! Simple! It can be anything, a card, scrap page, 3d item, a gift, as long as it contains black in some form, it counts!
I have used my fav stamp of the moment by Lindsay Mason, Peek a Boo Kitty, I stamped her on watercolour paper with Adirondack Pitch Black inkpad. I bled the colours and then used my black Marvy pen to go round the outline again. I used my red marvy for the hat then added some glitter as the fur. I mounted her up and than added some peel offs which I coloured red to finish the card off. I think it is stunning but that is cause of the stamp being so cute. Right away to do Motherly things for the rest of the day. See you Tomorrow,
Hazel xox
