Paint Party Friday...

Morning Everyone,
Im here today with my part done creation for this weeks Paint Party Friday. The reason Im posting it part done is it will make me feel more accountable and get on with it instead of resisting as Im scared Im gonna mess it up!!!!
I got some pastel pencils at the start of the year and had a look online for how to use them properly. I found this website Colin Bradley Arts and he has some cracking creations.
He runs online classes. This one was a free class. Its a wee Jack Russell. I decided to tweek it so its like my doglet.
So I am here at the moment with my image. I made Belles snout a bit longer and the colours will be slightly different from Colin Bradleys one.

I have had such a busy week that this weekend will be for chilling out and finishing off this drawing!!!

We had the hospital on Wednesday and all was well. It was weird going in as its so different just now with the covid risks. So sad as the paediatric clinic is always so busy and full of fun but there are no toys out and it was eerily quiet. Lovely though when Tom had his ECG he then was given a gift from the Nurse. There is a wee charity that donates gifts to the clinic, what a lovely surprise it was!! It was bitter sweet as its his last time there as he is now off to the Adult Cardiac Team. All grown up!! He has a wee hole in his heart which he has had since he was born. It doesn't affect him at all but it needs checked every couple of years to make sure its not causing any other issues.

My top picture today is Belle yesterday out on her walk!!! Or should I say climb!!! She follows the squirrel scents and stupidly climbs the trees. Thankfully she managed to get back down yesterday as I have had to try and rescue her before!

Stay Safe Everyone,

Have a Great Weekend, Love and Sparkles,

Hazel x

Hi Hazel! :) I LOVE your Belle!!! What a sweetie, and how funny that she climbs trees! I have a hound dog and he'd love to climb trees and chase after squirrels, but I don't think he'd find his way down lol...your drawing is lovely and thank you for giving the link to the art classes, I'm going to check them out! :))

Hi Hazel,
Your pastel drawing is coming along really nicely, and I think you've really made it look like Belle!!!
I can't believe that is Belle right up in the tree!! I have never seen a dog climb before! is she part bear!! Lol. I'm glad she came down of her own accord and you didn't have to go up and rescue her!!
I'm glad Tom went on ok at the hospital. It is weird when I go to hospital appointments. The cafe used to be thriving, last time it was takeaways only with a couple of tables and chairs spread out, very weird.
Lots of Love Sue B xx

*LOL* Fun dog! And a beautiful drawing. I need to check the page you linked. I have some pastel pencils, too, and always seem to struggle with them.
