An Uplifting Occasion...

Morning Everyone,

Happy Halloween!!!! Whoosh and then it was November!!! Where has October gone, I can't beleive we are at the end of it already!!!

I hope that you are all doing ok and not having too many issues with covid related things. We change to a tiered system on Monday and Im a bit confused by it all.

My card to day is one I have been playing with for a couple of days. I was just pottering about colouring it in. When I was looking at the card the other day I had done in 2008 I saw this stamp too and wanted to make a card with it again and compare to then.

Card Recipe
6 x 6 Card
Penny Black - Uplifting Occasion Stamp
Coloured with Copics, Promarkers and prismacolour pencils.
Papers - Gorjuss
Die- Clearly Besotted.
Embossing Folder - Free in magazine.

This picture can't be enlarged as it all pixelates hence it being a dinky photo!!
I didn't have much in the way of colouring items back in the day.. (Haaa how old do I sound!!!) I used an Adirondack inkpad which I have to say is still usable now!!!
Original Post is HERE.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Im having a be kind to me weekend. So big bubbly bath and a movie tonight and lots of positive self talk and self compassion. (Can you tell Im listening on my Mindfulness Course!)

Stay Safe Folks,
Love and Sparkles,

Hazel xx

What a brilliant image and beautifully coloured, I love your fab card.
Keep doing your positive thing Hazel. It is a bit confusing for folks, we are in tier 1, which isn't all that much different to what we have just now, and we still can't go into another house, however we may just follow England in a lockdown, who knows.
Enjoy your bubbly bath and movie, keep safe, Kate x

Hi Hazel

The colouring on your card is absolutely wonderful .. .. one of my favourite (of many) Penny Black stamps.

I went back to your original post .. .. you have been blogging longer than I have .. .. and I was intrigued to see when I first used my stamp. I found it here

http://jules-alwayswithaheart.blogspot.com/2009/08/just-very-quick-share.html

How strange that when I read my post I could remember the day like it was yesterday!

Our blogs are like one very big long diary really aren't they?

Enjoy your "be kind to me" weekend. Then next time turn it into a "be kind to me week".

Love Jules xx

I love this fun image Hazel. the colouring is superb. Thank you so much for joining us at Try It On Tuesday. We are in Tier 3 here and last week (half term for schools) we decided to stay in all week - not too bad as most days were grey and rainy. My thinking is if we all stay way from others temporarily (if it's possible), wash hands after touching anything in a public place and wear masks it will be contained - unfortunately there are too many folk who don't believe it is necessary. I just want it to be over so that I can see my grandchildren again! Sorry for ranting, Hugs, Chrisx
