My Boy...

Hi Everyone,
I had the worst phone call on Friday at lunchtime from a local vet to say my amazing beautiful kitty Felix had been handed in. He had been hit by a car in a neighbouring street and someone who lived on the street went out to him and took him down to their vet. He had passed away before making it to the vets.

We are all devastated. We only had him 2 and a bit years but in that time he had packed a lifetime full of memories in!!!

He loved to play with Belle and would hide from her then jump out and make her jump. They would do puppy kitty kisses in the  morning when they got up and just got on so well. Belle kept him in line, when the tree was up at Christmas if he went to touch it she would go over and tell him off!!

What a sociable boy he was. His cat friends would all meet in my neighbours garden and they would play like kittens rolling about together on the grass. It was so sweet to watch them.

He was a rescue kitty from our Local Cats Protection and from the minute we saw him it was love.

I love having pets but I do hate the parting, especially when its so out of the blue. I had just shouted on him as it was about his time for coming in for lunch. He had his wee routine and stuck to it like clockwork.

Hope everyone else has had a better weekend than us.

Much Love and Give your kittys extra big squeezes from me and mine,

Love H xx

I'm so sorry to hear this Hazel, it is always so painful loosing a pet as they are part of the family. Felix was certainly a handsome chap and it sounds like he was quite a character. My heart goes out to you, make sure you hold on to your memories of the good times you shared with him.
Take care.

Hazel, I am so sorry for your loss of Felix. On Friday I took my own cat into the vet because she wasn't eating and had to put her down today after much testing they believe she had lymphoma, but was in organ failure. It's awful!!! My heart goes out to you. My cat was almost 13 and has a sister from the same litter and they have never been separated and Snookie is not handling being a sole survivor at this time. Sending hugs and prayers your way and few tears too.

Hi Hazel,
these are the things you don't want. I can imagine how you are feeling right now. Unfortunately, two of our cats were hit by a car and another one was sleeping behind the car of our neighbour and he didn't saw him when he was leaving with his car...So I share your sad feelings and am so sorry for your loss! Thinking of you!

Awwww honey I so know the feeling, 2 years ago I lost a kitty that was ok and healthy and he did a funny thing with his head so Lee took him to vets, I didn't even get to say a goodbye at all, I have him here with me but I still have days where I cry for him, they leave a massive hole and it doesn't get any easier, (((((((HUGS)))))))

Love and healing hugs Pops x
