Willow Sketchie Challenge with Tent Card Tutorial.

This is a big post so grab a cuppa!

This week on TheWillow Sketchie Challenge we have a great sketch for you and also the added challenge of making either an Easel card or a Tent Card.  I decided that I would make a tent card and since I had never heard of it before had to google it. I then thought I wonder how many other people don't know how to do Tent cards so set about doing a tutorial with another card I made in the same way.

The prize is some brilliant stamps from Willow Designs.

Card Recipe

Tent Card using the Card stock Below
Walter in his Pom Pom Hat from Walter and Winnie Does Christmas CD
Avaliable from Willow Designs from 12 October.
Papers also from Above CD.
Sentiment from Kanban kit
Brads and button from stash
Walter Coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers

Promarkers are available at Willow Designs and P and P is Free.

So onto my wee tutorial. I hope its of help for you.

First you will need 2 pieces of card which are 6" x 6" and 1 piece of card which is 6" x 4"

Also gather together all the things you are going to use to decorate the card with. (I took pictures when I did another card)
 Mark off the 6" x 4" in 1" spaces
Fold the 6" x 4 " card in a Valley, Mountain then Valley fold using the 1" as a guide like in the picture.
Make a apperture in the centre of one of the 6" x 6" pieces. (I used a Marianne Die on this one and a Spellbinder on my Willow Sketchie Card.
Using Double Sided Tape stick the 6"x 4" card to the bottom of the piece of card without the hole in it.
Then Decorate it how you like.
Next add the Front to the 6" x 4" card so that you have the main card stuck together.
Add what you are going to use to keep the card shut. In this one I have used Ribbon but on the Willow Sketchie one I used brads, you could also use eyelets.
Finish your card off with its images and Embellishments.
You can have your image hanging from the center of the aperture with a jump ring.
Hope this has helped explain what a tent card is and how simple it is to make.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges

Totally Gorjuss - Birds of a Feather
Pile it On - Fancy Folds
One Stitch at a Time - Favourite Things (Willow Designs Stuff)
Cardmad Fairys Challenge  - Lots Of Layers

Finally (Told you it was a big one!!!)

The  Brilliant Walter and Winnie Does Christmas CD will be available as well as Sharon doing some Wonderful Demos so set your recorder NOW!!!.

Love your card Hazel, great colours and thanks for the tutorial too - I thought tent cards would be much harder to make, but they are not - so will be definitely having a go at one now. Hugs, Claire x
