Alasdair and Veronika's Ring Cushion.

Well here it is. The ring cushion for Alan's cousins wedding next Friday. I have used a pattern by Jo Verso for the birds and hearts but planned the rest of it myself. The blue/lavender ribbon is the colour of the bridesmaids dresses so it will match perfectly. The rings on it for the picture are mine not the wedding ones. Quite glad that they will have this as the best man lost his car keys on the Stag night (In Germany!!!) Didn't realise till they were back in Edinburgh airport. Oops!

I don't have a sewing machine so sewed it all myself. Even put the beads with squinting eyes last night! Glad that I have finished it though as the pressure was mounting!!!

Well off to get on with what I should have been doing today.

Sneeky Peak, Day 3.

This is not the best quality picture. Sorry. Hope this is the last day of the wee peaks as the ring cushion should be finished tomorrow! I have spent most of today sorting it out so again no cards. Boo hoo. Must get on though and make one for Mothers Day for MIL as have my Mums done!

Right off to get on with the other house hold things which need doing!!!

Sneeky Peak Day 2.

So here is today's sneeky peak at the Ring Cushion. This is what I did yesterday night. Alan's Mum got me into a bit of a tizzy yesterday with gosh will you be able to get it all done by next Friday. Argh!!! She didn't mean it but I sew like the wind once I am started and the pressure is mounting so that makes me go even faster!!!! I hope I will have it finished by Sunday at the latest. Would have been earlier but the chicken pox tiredness has put paid to that!!!

Sneeky Peak!!!

Just though I would give you a sneeky peak at the Ring Cushion I am in the middle of making. Hope Alasdair and Veronica like it. The cream stitching on the cream aida is a nightmare as I need to do that bit in daylight so it is easier on the eyes. Nearly made a big cock up though with the names as almost spelt Alasdair wrong when I was writing it out for the personalisation. Now the pressure is on as its a week on Friday that is the big day so would like it finished by the weekend. SO don't think I will be doing all the challenges I usually do.

Tom has even more spots this morning!! I didn't think he could get any more but they are right down his legs now. He is so miserable and down. Just not like him. So we are having cuddly day, I am tired too as was up through the night with him. (Again) Just feel so sorry for him as he is such a happy wee lad and you can see he is really sad.

Well off to get on with the day. Hope you have a good one, the sun is shining here and it looks great out. Might sit out the back for a bit.
