Oor Bards Birthday...

 Morning Everyone,

Big Hello to my newest follower GerJanne.

Happy Weekend to you all and Happy Burns Day for those who celebrate the Birthday of Scotland National Bard Robert Burns.
Last night Dad his Friend Dave and Jake went to the Local Burns Club Burns Supper to clebrate his birthday. Its a night of Haggis Neeps and Tatties with a Celebration of Poetry, songs and a wee dram or few of Whiskey!!! So no doubt there are a few "Sair Heids" today. ( Sore Heads in Queens English)

Daves Wife drops them off at the Supper and then goes to my folks house for a natter with my Mum then picks them back up later.  So after getting a bottle of fizz with a bugaboo tag at christmas Dad wanted me to make a Bottle tag for a Bottle of Wine to say thank to Anne for the taxi!! They have all been friends for years. Annes Mum and my Granny were best friends at school.

To show it off I have used a wee bottle of our national drink Irn Bru as its all I have in.

So sweet of your dad to make him a thank you label. Love the wording embossing folder and that font on your sentiment is lovely.

Hazel, this is great. I actually read it yesterday but didn't have time to comment. Living here in the US and being a southerner people that aren't from here always say we talk funny or cute of slow. Or they try to imitate and it makes me laugh. All of the comments do. So, in saying this I had to tell my son about reading your post and how I got a kick out of the language and had to look up some of the meanings. Like tatties and neeps. I was familiar with Haggis as they have a Scotish Festival here every year. Anyway, it was fun reading it. [Bunny]

I really like the bottle tag. Especially with the portrait of Robert Burns. Thank you for joining us at Little Red Wagon this week.
