Splish Splash...

Hi Everyone,

I hope that this post finds you all safe and well.  I have been out in the garden today and now have come in to post this card and I did a little learning too!!!

I bought my light box for my cards about 9 years ago and it turns out having just watched a few you tube video's that I have been using it wrong this whole time!!! Oops!!! So I have just learnt how to use it properly. I will see If I like the real way or I may end up doing it the Hazel way once again!!!

Talking of photos I wanted a piece of wood to pop my cards on and they were quite expensive over on Ebay so yesterday while out in the woods with Belle I found this wee bit. Its quite rough and ready but I love the rustic feel to it.
My card today is for a few wee challenges. I used my cheap watercolours. I have been making colour swatches of all my colouring mediums and of all my watercolour ones the cheapest are my favs!! They were a Crayola kids set that belonged to Tom when he was wee but he never used them so they moved into my crafty space.

Card Recipe
A6 Card
Watercolour Cold Press Paper.
Crayola Watercolours.
Nuvo Glitter Sparkle Pen in Silver.
Die from Stash.

Thanks for dropping by today,

Love and Sparkles,

Hazel xx

(On my challenge entries I am using my Didos name now as there seems to be a lot of other Hazels in Blogland and I keep getting mixed up :) xx)

Challenges I would like to enter are...
Seize the Birthday - 200ths Challenge Use Banner as Inspiration.  (I love the pastel watercolour background on the banner and I decided to use it for my card background, I teamed it with black writing to match the banner too)
Daring Cardmakers - S for September. (Splatters, Silver, Sentiment)
Watercooler Wednesday - All About Occasions.
Creative Inspirations - Spots and Dots or Inky Splats.

A fabulous bright and beautiful card. Love what you have done here!

Just shows you don't need to spend a fortune to create something wonderful.

Loving your wooden display piece and I must admit your photographs have always looked perfect to me.

Hope you had a good weekend.

Super splatters card. I adore all those colours together. Also like your piece of wood too. Keep meaning to stage my finished cards Properly like others do but by the time they are made it is a quick take the photo and run with it.. hugs Mrs A.

That's brilliant. If I tried that it would be a messy puddle of indeterminate colour and be in the bin so I am mightly impressed.

Gorgeous vibrant card. Great idea for your bit of wood too - doesn't distract from your cards either. Emma

I can totally see your inspiration from our graphic on your card Hazel! I also use cheap Crayola watercolors from time to time and they work well. Thanks for sharing your talents with us at Seize the Birthday!
