Stella's Sketch and some sewing...

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all doing fine. I am freezing cold this afternoon. It was a lovely morning but the rain is back on once again. Its rained here every day for about a month now!! I would like to see some summer!!!
I decided to work outside my comfort zone with colours and went for some I usually wouldn't for this festive make!!! The poor Penguin on the top has cataracts. I popped the glaze on for his shiny eyes and then liquid applique for his fluffy hat at the same time. Had to heat the liquid applique up the following morning and his wee eyes melted a bit. Ooops!!!

Card Recipe
6 x 6 Card
Papers and Sentiment - Pre Loved from Ebay.
Coloured with Promarkers
Stickles Glitter Glue.
Doodles by Hand.

I have been following Jules over at Always with a Hearts sewing tutorials for making your cards pretty with stitching. Here is the beginnings of my crafty work.
Ive found that my wee machine likes the paper to be pushed though quite quickly as if not the stitches are a bit wonky. Tried just using my hand for turning it instead of the foot pedal but it made my wonky hand hurt even more. Oops!! Lesson learnt!!

Before I go I would like to apologise for not getting to everyone's blogs as much this week. I have had a lot of entries into Fezziwigs Challenge so I  have been over there commenting a lot. Theres lots of inspiration for your festive makes.

Love and Sparkles,

Hazel xx

Challenges I would like to enter are...
Stella Says Sketch- Sketch (Turned on Side and I stupidly printed the image slightly bigger than it should be)

A super Christmas card. I love the puffy applique you added.

I would so love to give you some of our heat. We are in the triple digits with the heat index. It's been terrible. We have been looking for some rain, too. [Bunny]

Fabulous card and love the gorgeous colours used ..great design... I love to stitch on my cards but the machine is huge so takes up so much space, will have to dig it out again... Have a great weekend ♥

Hi Hazel

What a fabulous card. You made me laugh with your comment about the penguin with cataracts!

Love your doodling .. .. so very neat.

Well done on tackling some sewing .. .. I am wondering if the paper might be too thin for your machine. Out of curiosity try with a piece of card underneath and see if that goes through any easier.

Sorry if your hand is still suffering.

Love Jules xoxox

Love your cute card with the wee penguins and the fab DP. Love your way of taking the photograph too. Thanks for joining Stella Says Sketch.
We also have had a lot of rain, but today it was a nice and sunny day. Hope you will get summer soon.
I think you must use cardstock or DP for sewing.
Good luck.
