Maggies Kitchen Table Day...

Hi Folks,

Just a wee post tonight as im off to watch the end of Marcella!!! I forgot it was on as i've been so busy this week baking!!!

Mum and I are hosting a Kitchen Table Day on Friday afternoon in aid of our local Maggie's Cancer Centre in Dundee.  The Maggies Centres are a place to go for love and support if you or someone close to you are affected by cancer. My Dad lives with cancer so Mum and him go to their local one quite a lot. They have a Prostate Cancer Support night once a month and Dad (and Mum) have found it really helpful thoughout his journey.

So onto the Kitchen Table Day. We have invited lots of friends and family and they come for a cuppa and cake and leave a donation. I have made a wee batch of Scottish Milk Tablet to sell. (all monies go to the charity) Recipe is here.  I thought it would be nice to have them presented in a wee box.  I did 10. It was also cause its a brand new die I got with my fabby new big shot.

I think it is such a nice gesture to be able to do something for the cancer fund.
3 years ago I lost my father to this terrible disease. Between the moment we got the diagnosis and the death of my father were only 3 months between. It was a short, intense period.

Now, on to your creation. I thing the wee box looks fabulous, and the fudge is so yummie. I just get a nice appetite by the look of it.

What a brilliant idea and the fudge looks yummy. I hope your tea party goes well and you raise lots of money for a very good cause.
Thank you for sharing with us at Alphabet Challenge.
