Mums Birthday...

Hi Everyone,

Golly its another miserable day here in Arbroath. The rain is constant and its fair blawin a hoolie. The MET office have us on an amber weather warning for rain until Tuesday . What a way to start the year!!!!

Today Im here to show you the creation I made for Mums Birthday last week.
I decided since it was a "Big" birthday that I wanted to do a keepsake rather than a card so went with this pretty pin covered heart from Pinflair.  I modified it with pink seed beads and the centre was meant to be 3 wee daisies but I went for the Mum Sentiment.

I also made and decorated the box. You cant see the lace on the side but matches the lace round the heart. (Thats 2 in a week I made!!! Quite chuffed with myself as Im rubbish at doing boxes.I usually get the size totally wrong!!!)

I have to say this was quite a challenge as with my carpal tunnel issues I couldn't feel the pins or the seed beads after about 5 minutes of working on it. Im glad though that I completed it.

I hope you are all well,

Sending Hugs to those who need them,

Love and Sparkles
Hazel xx

Challenges I would like to enter are...
Glitter N Sparkle - Anything Goes.
Allsorts - Something New (New Crafting doing this pin and Sequin thing)
CRAFT - Anything Goes.

Such a great make Hazel, so very pretty, hope it's stopped raining with you, it has been non stop here for days! Roads are terrible for huge puddles and surface water, and the fields around are so flooded. Think our house is on high ground tho so shouldn't float away! Stay warm and dry, Jx

Hazel, I'm visiting from C.R.A.F.T. where I saw your card in Top 3. I'm a new follower of your blog from Central TX USA. Please stop by my blog also if you like. This is BEE-utiful! Has wonderful elegance to it. Like the heart shapes, doily, embellishments & so much more about it. I do not have carpal tunnel and cannot imagine being able to add all those beads. I've been making shaker cards & as challenging as they are to make I'm learning with each I make.
