Harry's Portrait...

 

Morning Everyone,

Phew I made it!!! Only just!!! I wanted to get Harrys portrait finished for today so I could share it over at Paint Party Friday. I just managed last night. I just need to frame it now and pop it up with the one I did of Belle. Although I now love this more more. Here is the Belle one in this post. 

I ended up doing lots of painting this week but not of the lovely pretty on paper type. This week was doors and skirting boards!!! Booo!!! Now onto the ceiling and walls!!! My wee lets sort the door hinge in the bathroom has turned into a lets revamp and decorate the bathroom!!! Ooops. 

Doing Harrys portrait has been a nice respite from the decorating. Although all our bathroom stuff is in the crafty room!! 

I loved doing the portrait. I was sort of following one of Colin Bradleys pastel pencil course. Although it was a different looking kitty he coloured and he only used 6 pencils. I ended up using a lot more as Harry has quite the mix of colours in his fur. He even has some bits that are 2 tone. I couldn't work out how to do his whiskers as they are even 2 tone. The tips are white and the bases are black. My colours arent exactly the same as his as I just didnt have enough pencils or know how to get it perfect. So its a homage to Harry. 

Im now off to repaint the ceiling in the loo. Argh!!! Its going white from a magnolia colour so lots of coats of paint to hide the shining though cream!!
